Bees to face Wildcats in pre-season M4 Derby action

The Bracknell Bees are pleased to announce that as a prelude to the 2017-18 National Ice Hockey League Division 1 South season the club will once again take on their local M4 rivals the Swindon Wildcats in the annual two-game M4 Derby Classic pre-season encounter.

As in the last three pre-seasons the clubs will battle it out over two games prior to the start of the regular season campaign.

The Bees will host the Wildcats at The Hive on Sunday 3rd September 2017 (face off 6pm) in the second game of the two match series. The previous evening the Bees will travel to the Swindon Ice Arena on Saturday 2nd September 2017 (face off 6.15pm).

In last season’s M4 Derby Classic it was the Wildcats that took the series narrowly by two goals having won their home leg of the series 7-2 before losing to the Bees at The Hive on the Sunday 5-2, an aggregate score of nine goals to seven.

With both sides making lots of changes to their line-ups ahead of the exciting new season in the NIHL1 South were are sure that the teams will contest another pair of entertaining matches.

Ticket prices for the Bees home fixture on Sunday 3rd September will be announced shortly and home game tickets will be available via the rink ticket office shortly too as well as on the door on the night.

Please note that this Bracknell Bees pre-season home game will not be covered by season tickets but despite that the new Bees management and volunteers are urging all Bees fans to attend and show their support ahead of the new season. We hope to see you all there!
