Bees unveil Passchendaele commemorative jerseys

The Bracknell Bees are pleased to announce that as part of their support of The Army Benevolent Fund, at their home game on Saturday November 11th versus the Telford Tigers in the National Cup, they will be wearing a very special one-off commemorative match night jersey.

The jersey, once again beautifully designed by Cassio Designs, commemorates the 100th anniversary of the First World War Battle of Passchendaele in which approximately a third of a million British and Allied soldiers either lost their lives or were and wounded, truly a battle that symbolises the true horror of industrialised trench warfare.

The designs of these special commemorative jerseys can be seen HERE and we are offering you the chance to support both the Bees and the Army Benevolent Fund by taking part in an Own & Loan scheme for the jerseys.

Priced at £100 for each of the first team players jerseys and £75 for each of the four two-way players jerseys, a donation from each sale will be made to the Army Benevolent Fund.

We will be running a Shirt off the Back competition on the 11th November and that night Tom Avery’s game worn jersey will be the prize on offer and therefore his jersey is not available as part of the Own & Loan scheme.

There will also be a number of special guests present that evening from the Armed Forces and volunteers will also be collecting for the Army Benevolent Fund on the night also.

Those successful in purchasing a jersey as part of the Own & Loan scheme will receive the jersey, straight from the players back at the end of the home game versus the Telford Tigers that evening in a special presentation by each player.

We hope that you like the special jersey design and invite you to email us at beesownandloan@gmail.com if you are interested in participating in this great opportunity.   Please indicate which jersey(s) you wish to Own & Loan, which will be sold on a first come first served basis.

Payment methods accepted will be: Cash, cheque or preferably BACS Bank Transfer (details on request).
