Bees v Bracknell Hornets (Weds 27th Dec) Match night info

The festive period Bracknell Bees action continues this evening as the Bees take on the Bracknell Hornets in a charity challenge match, Wednesday 27th December (6pm faceoff), at The Hive!

The National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) Division 1 South Britton Bracknell Bees will take on the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) Division 2 South Wilkinson Bracknell Hornets and the match will be in aid of male cancer charity Orchid as the two sides meet for the first time.  Come along and celebrate the Bees 30th Anniversary, the Festive holidays and help raise funds for Orchid as well.

Tonight’s Match is in aid of Orchid
Orchid aims to encourage, support and fund research into the causes, prevention and treatment of male cancers.    It has identified new ways to treat male cancers and improved understanding of how these cancers behave. You can find out more about them and their work on their website at

Face Off Time
We are all set for a 6pm face off with doors opening at 5pm.   Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time and are in your seat for the pre-game build-up!

Tickets prices
Adults (over 18’s) - £5
Juniors (up to 17 years of age) - £1
Please note that this game is not covered by either Bracknell Bees or Bracknell Hornets season tickets.

We are pleased to announce that the Supporters Club, as well as manning their merchandise desk in the foyer on match nights, will now be present in the old rink shop before Bracknell Bees home games.   As well as replica jerseys the Supporters Club also stocks plenty of Bracknell Bees memorabilia and clothing including some 30th Anniversary items.   Make sure you pop along and check them out!  There are also a large number of new and unique items so grab them whilst they last!

50/50 Cash Prize Draw
Make sure that you see one of our ticket sellers around the rink and bar to purchase your ticket, priced at £1 each – YOU NEED TO BEE IN IT TO WIN IT!   For each ticket purchased 50% goes to the prize fund and 50% goes straight into the club for further investment and support of the team so the more tickets you buy the bigger the prize!
50/50 Raffle ticket sellers can be found in the foyer, in the Bees Knees Bar and walking around the rink.   You can also purchase tickets at the Bracknell Bees Supporters Club merchandise desk.

Shirt Off A Players Back
There will be no Shirt off a Back raffle at tonights chairty match.

Christmas Raffle
The Bracknell Bees and Bracknell Hornets are holding a number of special raffles at tonight's game with a number of unique and special prizes available.   Please see raffle ticket sellers around the rink to grab your tickets to be in with a chance to win!

Blues Smokehouse Sponsored Chuck-a-Puck and Chuck-a-Duck
The Bracknell Bees Chuck-a-Puck and Chuck-a-Duck weekly events will now be sponsored by Blues Smokehouse and they will include prizes from Blues in the prize package for the winners of each event at Bees home games so don’t forget to purchase yours, priced at £1 each, to take part in the second period interval fun with a chance to win!

The Bracknell Bees Official Match Night programme – The Buzz!
The Bees official match night programme, compiled and edited for us by our media partners Usual Suspects Media, will be available still priced at £2.50 and packed with match reports, interesting articles, team information etc…– pick up your copy from the Bracknell Bees Supporters Club merchandise desk.   This weeks programme also includes a special Blues Smokehouse Voucher, so make sure to grab your copy!

Post-game signing table
There will be no post-game signing table tonight.   Instead the players will make their way up to the Hospitality Suite post game for an informal meet & greet session.

Skate with the players
Following tonight's match you will be able to skate with the players of both teams for a short time after the final whistle.   Bring along your own skates or, if you need to you can rent from the rink.

Christmas Jumper competition
With the festive period still in mind tonight make sure that you wear your best, or worst, Christmas jumper as the one selected as the best will receive a prize on the night!

Player Meet & Greet
In the hospitality suite, post-game, both teams players will be available in an informal atmopshere to meet.   We will also be holding special raffles, competitions & much more during the evening and in hospitality post-game. 

Own & Loan jerseys

As part of the fund-raising efforts both teams will be wearing special jerseys, once again designed by our friends at Cassio Designs, for the match.   The unique jerseys feature the Orchid colours and logos as well as special Bees and Hornets logos.   These jerseys will also be worn by the teams in their regular season matches on Saturday 30th December (Bees home to Swindon & Hornets away to Guildford).   For those who were successful in purchasing jerseys in our Own & Loan scheme the jerseys will be available for collection and handed out at the Bracknell Hornets home game on Saturday 6th January (v Lee Valley Lions) and the Bees home game on Sunday 7th January (v Basingstoke Bison).

Bracknell Bees half-season tickets

The Bracknell Bees are pleased to announce the launch of a Half-Season ticket for the remainder of the 2017-18 National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) Division 1 South season.  

You can pay in person (Cash, Cheque or Credit/Debit card payment on the night) at the Bees home game tonight, Weds 27th Dec v Bracknell Hornets, please see John Slater before the game in the newly launched Bracknell Bees shop (at the rink where the old rink shop was at the front of the building).
