Carl Thompson to remain for rest of season

The Bracknell Bees are pleased today to announce that forward Carl Thompson, who originally joined the Bees 2017-18 squad at the start of December as injury cover for his older brother Shaun, has agreed to remain with the club for the remainder of the 2017-18 National Ice Hockey League Division 1 South league and playoff campaign.  

As Bees fans will know Carl is no stranger to The Hive having iced for the Bracknell Hornets for three seasons between 2012 and 2015 before making to move to the Bees at the start of the 2015-16 season.  In the following two seasons with the Bees Carl iced in over 100 games netting over twenty goals and twenty assists.

So far this season, in the nine league and cup games that he has iced for the club, Carl has three goals and three assists and also picked up the Man of the Match award in his 2017-18 debut.

Scott Spearing, Bracknell Bees Head Coach said of news:
"I was really pleased to be able to bring Carl in as injury cover when we needed him at a tough time and am even happier that he has decided to stay with us to the end of the season.   He is a very experienced player for his age and is a hardworking, solid player."
