The fourth weekend of regular season action for the Bracknell Bees sees them back with a two game weekend.   It starts on the road away to local rivals the Basingstoke Bison on Saturday (6.30pm faceoff) before the team return to The Hive on Sunday to take on the Milton Keynes Thunder (6pm faceoff).

Last weekend saw the Bees pick up a home victory in their only game of the weekend over the visiting Cardiff Fire 11-1.

Saturdays away game down the M3 in Basingstoke will be a National Cup group match, the Bees second cup game so far, the first having been a narrow 1-2 loss at The Hive against the Bison a couple of weekends back.   So far the Bison have, for all but one of their matches so far, been playing a lot of cup games and with three defeats already in the National Cup will be sure to be desperate to pick points on home ice.

This Sunday at The Hive the Bees will be facing the Milton Keynes Thunder for the first time ever at home.  Head Coach Lewis Clifford has put together a good blend of youth and expereince who have started the season well picking up wins over Cardiff and Invicta with both wins coming on the road.   The sides have already met once this season, in Milton Keynes, and a rally saw the Bees seal a come from behind win 5-7.   n Raiders after penalty shots.

The Bees will want to continue last weekend's fine form and get their first points of the National Cup on the board on Saturday and will be looking to continue their good form at The Hive on Sunday.

We hope to see a good home support from the Bees fans and look forward to welcoming the Streatham IHC fans to The Hive and with that in mind we have some key points for new visiting fans to please note for Bees games:

  • There is an “away” section in Block 2 downstairs where away fans tend to congregate and sit together however you are welcome to purchase tickets through the rink reception on the match night or by calling 01344 789000 for seats in the upper balcony area.   You will need to specify at the time of purchase.
  • Most of the balcony blocks have a large amount of season ticket seats within them that are already reserved so please be aware of this when taking your seat, if you are sitting in a season ticket holder seat without the ticket for that seat you will be asked to move to the correct seat.
  • It should be noted too, that due to the license held by the rink, that although alcohol is sold in The Bees Knees bar it can only be taken out to the seated balcony area and is not permitted downstairs within the rink at all.
  • The rink is also a no smoking building so you will need to leave by the front door during period breaks if you wish to smoke and you will need your ticket to regain entry.
  • The other general rink rules such as no flash photography, waiting for a break in play before moving around the rink, no foul or abusive language etc… are, as with all rinks, also in place.
  • Our Supporters Club run a merchandise stall in the main foyer and upstairs at the back of Block 5 (opposite the bar) there is also the Supporters Club shop.   Merchandise, programmes, 50/50 tickets etc.. are all available at these two locations on a match night.
