Weekend Preview - Week 6

posted 12 Oct 2017, 10:42 by john slater

The Bracknell Bees have just the one game in their sixth weekend of NIHL action this season.   The Bees sole game this weekend is at The Hive on Sunday (6pm faceoff) against local rivals the Basingstoke Bison in the National Cup Group D.

After a day off on Saturday the Bees will welcome the Bison to The Hive, the Basingstoke side having taken on Streatham in Hampshire that night, looking to keep their current five game winning streak going.

The Bison, like the Bees, have won all three of their matches since the sides met in late September and will be looking to pick up more points in group D of the National Cup.   They currently have just the two points, ironically picked up at The Hive against the Bees in mid-September, in the National Cup from five games so far.   The Bison had also made a roster change this week ahead of this weekends match up releasing Jaroslav Cesky and signing ex-Manchester Phoenix forward Roman Malinik.

The Bees will be looking to add to their two points in the National Cup, from two games, this weekend also in front of what we hope will be a bumper crowd with local bragging rights also up for grabs!
